MEET DANIELLE
Danielle Davis is a weekend meteorologist for WVUA 23. You can watch her weekends at 10 p.m., filling in on weekdays 5, 6 & 10, throughout football season on Crimson Tide Kickoff, or during any severe weather coverage in central Alabama.
Danielle started at WVUA in 2016 as a weather intern and became a weekend meteorologist in January of 2017. From your football forecast to covering severe weather in your town, Danielle is always tracking storms and updating you with the latest information. She has lived and worked in Alabama the last five years while earning a Degree in Communications (majoring in Telecommunications and Geography) from The University of Alabama in December of 2017. She now attends Mississippi State University where she is working towards her Master’s Degree in Broadcast Meteorology and plans to graduate in May 2020. She is also a teaching assistant at MSU, teaching TV production for the 2018-2019 school year and practicum in broadcast meteorology for the 2019-2020 school year. Danielle is a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association.
A native of Fleming Island, Florida just outside of Jacksonville, Danielle has lived in Florida long enough to be very familiar with hurricane season and has been directly impacted by several. However, living in Dixie Alley now has led her to become no stranger to tornadoes and other severe weather. Danielle’s most memorable event was covering the February 2, 2016 Aliceville tornado and seeing the destruction it caused first hand.
During her off days you can find Danielle exploring the trails of Central Alabama, traveling with her miniature dachshund Shotzy, or cheering on the Crimson Tide at any sporting event. To see some of the cool places Danielle has been you can view her 360 images on Google!
